The Goddess Lileth
I am so very pleased to announce that we have a fantastic statue of Lileth in the shop at the moment. I have been very dedicated to this Goddess for as far back as I care to remember. She is a Goddess I hold dear to my heart and soul.
As with everything ,people have their own opinions, which is what makes everyone unique in their own way. For example I chose to spend my time with people that I care about and that are true to themselves. These people are genuine people in my eyes and therefore I show them respect. If there is someone I don’t show respect to, then it is clear what type of person they have been to me. Likewise if someone shows a great dislike towards this Goddess then it is either down to their ignorance or what type of person they are.
As with every Goddess there is allot that can be research through the internet and each Goddess can be dated back to a place in time by where there was the last mark in the earth was placed about them, a piece from a book or what someone has typed up on Wicipedia. Each mark in time along the line can be either fictional or truth but all have been through a persons opinion, they are an opinion for you to make your own mind up. in my eyes this is where allot of people get lost. Once you have read something in a book it does not make it absolute fact, it is always up to you if you feel it correct or not. Exactly the same as when someone tells you about someone, it is down to you to decipher whether it is fact or gossip. It is the one that chooses the truth that counts.
A little of The Goddess Lileths past. She is mentioned in the bible as the first wife of Adam. This is where most people know her from. the truth is that "Adam" means a group of men and "Eve" means a group of women. Yes she was the first to settle with one man but she was the first to stand tall for what she believed in. In those times women were treated very poorly to put things mildly and for a women to demand equality and to not lay beneath a man was very, very unacceptable. Some still have a problem with strong willed women today. She was cast out of her tribe and demonised. In these hard times a demon was not a monster but someone that did not conform and do as they were told, they could also be someone who was a little different, someone who was born with a learning difficulty or a birth mark. So to be called a demon really meant to be exiled and for gossip to be spread about you and to put fear in those around you so that you would be utterly alone. Lileth was an unbelievably strong women when she lived and fought damn hard for what she believed and knew to be right. She had many children and protected them with everything she was and is to this day. She is a Goddess who stands tall to protect the innocence and light that children are and to keep them safe from those with a darkness in their hearts. She is a Goddess of Fire and is known through many different beliefs by different names. In Sumerian times she was known as Inana which means mother.
Like any Goddess she has a perfect balance. She is more then capable to protect herself as well as anyone under her care therefore know’s exactly how to destroy and tear down those who would do harm to those around her. She can also help a women through childbirth as I have called her for both of my children’s births as well as drawing out the inner strength of any women.
I would recommend this Goddess to those who are willing to be true to their word and dedicated to their path. She is an amazing goddess and I am truly blessed to have her in my life and spirit.
